Ferrier Richardson is one of Scotland's best known chefs and is a master chef of Great Britain. After training at Glasgow College of Food Technology he worked in London, Paris, and Geneva finishing his apprenticeship. He has been executive chef at The Rogano, The Buttery, The Hilton International, Glasgow's first five star hotel, and Chef Patron at October, October Cafe, Yes, and Eurasia all based in Glasgow his home town.

As well as writing several books, Ferrier has acted as a culinary ambassador for Scotland at events all over Europe, Asia, and North America and has been invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard centre in New York on several occasions.

He has led both the British and Scottish Culinary Teams to Gold Medal success at Hotel Olympia in London, Food Asia in Singapore, and the Culinary Olympics in Germany and among his many individual awards he was the Scottish Chef of the year.

Opening East of Paris in Winter park along with his wife Ann-Marie has fulfilled a long time ambition to open a restaurant in the United States.
